Two more aircraft from yesterday

In addition to the military aircraft seen at Wellington yesterday, I also managed to get my best pictures yet of Sounds Air's new Pilatus PC12/45, ZK-PLS.

As seen here, the aircraft was heading across to Blenheim [Woodbourne aerodrome, NZWB]. For anyone who has not heard, the expansion of Sounds Air continues with the recent announcement that they are picking up the Wellington - Taupo route, in addition to the previously announced Westport - Wellington route. Both routes will be flown by the PC12.

Another visitor was this Cessna 172N, ZK-TAB, which is operated by Sunair Aviation of a Mount Maunganui address.

Any idea if it will be in the Sounds Air livery for the first flight to Westport? If so it looks like they are leaving it to the very last minute! Nice shot by the way.

Hello Michael.

My understanding is "No". Sounds Air's second PC12 [ZK-PLT] is in the paint shop as we speak, so it won't be too long. ZK-PLS will go in some time later.

Cheers,

Rodney
